All this will disappear some day
when feet need no more shoes.
From mother’s womb to eighty
what troubles us is time:
so slow,
so heartless,
the sprout, the bloom, the withering.
The day will come when time must vanish too,
when we live on,
when feet grow wings,
when the bed gives up its shape.
