更能把我们带到远方

也没有日行千里的神骏

追得上腾跃的诗行 -

一贫如洗也可以踏上这条道路

而不必担受通行的税赋 -

这辆承载了人们灵魂的车骑

译记：书籍一直是狄金森的挚爱。她也为书籍写下数篇诗作（如Fr569，Fr770， Fr1593等等 ）。这是狄金森写给书籍的又一首情诗。

书籍如同舰船、如同骏马，能够把我们带到远方。而且灵魂搭乘书籍出游，不需要任何财富。
