BOHEMIA’S SEA

Bohemia’s sea, which Shakespeare gifted,

fabled, a mistake, a feel-good pun,

something just like love, hope, faith uplifted,

a non-swimmers’ sea, for walking on,

a sea waterless, no surf-foam bubbles,

a sea of your wishes, limitless,

a sea of dead lore, a sea of troubles,

a sea drowned in body cells, alas,

a sea self-deceiving, danger-tossed,

a sea mumbling, in a tongue long-lost,

a sea mired, which our times consume,

a sea that’s left cliffs, and shorelines bare,

a sea petrified, of love and care,

a sea full of grief, our cradle, tomb.
