and one by one we drop away.'

他们的手像鸡爪，他们的膝盖

They had hands like claws, and their knees

也挛曲得活像那

Were twisted like the old thron-trees

水边的老荆丛。

'All that's beautiful drifts away

如同这水流的淙淙（匆匆）。”
