They had hands like claws, and their knees

Were twisted like the old thron-trees

也挛曲得活像那

By the waters.

水边的老荆丛。

I heard the old, old men say

我听见那些很老、很老的人

'All that's beautiful drifts away

说：“一切的美好都消逝了，

Like the waters.

如同这水流的淙淙（匆匆）。”
