永远美好祥宁，

另有一片阳光，

别介意树木凋零，奥斯汀，

在它不凋的花丛

译记： 这首诗来自狄金森于1851年10月17日写给哥哥奥斯汀的信中。

其时，奥斯汀正在波士顿。在这封信中，狄金森期盼兄长来信，更期盼他归来。狄金森告诉奥斯汀，安默斯特正是天光阴暗、霜风凄冷、残叶飘零。然而，当奥斯汀归来时，不论天气怎样，-- 接下来即为这首诗 -- 迎接他的都不会是寒冬，而是美好明丽的手足之情。这是寒冷萧瑟中的暖流。

这是1955年 Johnson 编辑的《狄金森诗全集》中的第二首。原稿在信中没有分行，故 1998年 Franklin 编辑的《狄金森诗集》中未收录。
