Autumn

N. sent me [a photo of Ezra Pound by Richard Avedon](http://blog.ricecracker.net/2009/12/24/richard-avedon-ezra-pound/). It was exquisite. The poet and the photographer, both. Was looking for more photos of Pound (he’s quite a handsome fellow, no?) when I chanced upon an old article about the Imagists. I haven’t read anything from them in awhile (try years!), so here’s a little something for today, and maybe more tomorrow.

**Autumn**
*T.E. Hulme*

A touch of cold in the Autumn night —
I walked abroad,
And saw the ruddy moon lean over a hedge
Like a red-faced farmer.
I did not stop to speak, but nodded;
And round about were the wistful stars
With white faces like town children.
