Parachutes

There's a pang——
Or there's nil
Parlours stand by
selling ice cream bars

There's a queue
Outside the view
Before the paliament
on the payrolls

They'd get——
something palatable
a peck on cheek
or some psatime

House, cats and dogs took parachutes down
Men patch their life
Patrons pay the bill

Mint and mirth took parachutes down
Cool down their blue
Pacific their moods

Once I heard
An old proposal
Overrode le lust——
and overt lure
Like a pageant——
with only males

Pubs, puds and peacocks took parachutes down
Not a paradigm
Just to stir a peal

Monarch and pavilion took parachutes down
Please stay mute
Wait for yer muse
