I placed a jar in Tennessee,

And tall and of a port in air.

It took dominion everywhere.

这灰色无花纹的坛子

The jar was gray and bare.

它不孳生鸟雀或树丛，

It did not give of bird or bush,

与田纳西的一切都不同。

Like nothing else in Tennessee.
