In the heat, red cotton tree blossoms

空白疾行，超越形器，象數，和所有

open and fall. Ghost flowers

風雨聲類：虎豹的蹤跡，獨角獸的影

linger in the boughs, hinting at the yao,

一隻鷓鴣從紅槿小木間狹邪穿刺

an arrow racing toward emptiness,

迎面看見水影照女牆，遂鼓其短翅低飛

beyond all sounds, shapes, the forms

瀲灎轉平上去入，過河，升高

of wind, rain, tracks of tigers,

在前上方，與期待的天色和絃

leopards, shadows of mythic beasts.

A partridge skims a hibiscus,

sees a parapet mirrored in a river,

soars high, dips low,

crosses water, then towers,

merging with the color of the sky.
