Lift a leaf

就会有一场突然的飞奔

and there is a sudden darting

窜入地下通道——

into subterranean passages —

一场黑暗争夺战。

a scramble for the dark.

有一层树叶盖着

With a cover of leaves

那些小东西

the little things

就不害怕被踩踏；

are not afraid of being trampled;

小东西们总是被踩踏。

little things have always been trampled.

它们怕的

It is light

是光。

they fear.
